Bride and Groom under Waterfall. Photo of a bride and groom in Wilkes Barre taken at an airport.

-Post wedding portraits, also known as "trash the dress" (TtD) sessions, are 2 hour photo sessions in which bridal portraits cross over to the world of fashion or fine art photography. You can do the session alone or invite your partner to participate. It's known as TtD because after the wedding, a bride may no longer be afraid to sit on a stone wall, in a field, on the ground, etc. in fear of getting her gown dirty. Free from the fear of getting dirty, people often choose to do things like roll in the sand and waves, frolic in a fountain or play in the mud! But it is unlikely that water, sand or soil will truly "trash the dress." A trip to the cleaners can often work wonders.

Post wedding portraits are an opportunity to put back on the most fabulous dress you own and create photos which were impossible on your wedding day. There are many reasons to do a this type of session. Perhaps:

  • You want to explore a particular location or situation
  • Your wedding day presented less than ideal circumstances for photography
  • You want to be photographed by a photographer other than the one who photographed you on your wedding day

We love TtD sessions because we are freed from the time line and conventions of a wedding day and the photo possibilities are limitless!

Pricing

Standard pricing for a TtD session is the same as other portrait sessions - $450.
